Accelerated Swimming Lessons

Aquarius Swim School Accelerated Swimming Lessons are perfect for topping up your swimming during the Half Term break! Available for both current or new customers at The Alan Higgs Centre, Centre AT7 and Xcel Leisure Centre.

Our upcoming courses are available between:

  • Monday 12th, Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th February 2024 at Centre AT7 (excluding Tuesday for Crash Courses)
  • Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2024 at The Alan Higgs Centre.

Available to book In-centre or calling the centre from Monday 15th January.

Stage Descriptions:

Ducklings A fun class for children aged 2½ to 4 and aims to build water confidence and motor skills without a parent in the water.
Stage 1 This class is for children aged 4 and upward with no water confidence or swimming experience.
Stage 2 For children aged 4 and upwards who have confidence in the water. This class will develop basic stroke techniques, basic floating and jumping in.
Stage 3 This class will enable children to further develop front and back swimming techniques, safe entries, submersion and rotation skills.
Stage 4a Children will be able to swim 10m unaided on both front and back in shallow water and will introduce all four stroke techniques.
Stage 4b This class is in deep water and will further develop swimming techniques. Children will be working towards maintaining correct technique over a long distance.
